IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR THE
"MEMPHIS 101" 411 MANUAL
Robert Gordon's "It Came From Memphis", along with its accompanying CD, offers a rare glimpse of the cultural milieu that is
Memphis.

IF YOU'RE JONESING FOR A GOOD
RECORD STORE CONNECTION
Shangri-La Records has the staff and the stuff, and they're usually knee-deep smack-dab in the middle of the Memphis muck.

IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE "OTHER" WILD ANIMALS IN MIDTOWN
The Overton Park Zoo (and it's free
2-5 on Tuesdays)! Overton Park is also the
home of the Shell, site of the infamous '60's blues festivals. Still a home-grown venue for local bands, as well as hallowed ground for many Memphians, it boasts a chain-saw
sculpture of The King, murals by Burton
Callicott and Charlie Miller, and lots and lots
of vibes.
